Beane added, "I think we have found the perfect companion to the IPC-7351 LP Wizards we use to create land patterns".
Bryan Truax, Vice President of Operations & Library Services for CADParts & Consulting, LLC added, "We needed the ability to apply design reuse by automating, translating, and retargeting those symbol formats to our customers’ symbol format." Truax continued, "We have customers with multiple tools trying to consolidate to a single tool set as well as customers migrating from one tool to another. The Symbol Modeler tools allow us to help our customers by importing symbols in one format and exporting them to the target format."
Mike Bitzko, principal at CadPlex Software LLC said " we have spent significant time working with customer Engineers looking at the problems of creating symbols for FPGAs and keeping them updated as the I/O pins and signal names are swapped several times. This is an industry-wide problem and we have it solved. The Symbol Modeler can import data from the FPGA vendor software and automatically update the existing symbol. No more error-prone manual updates are needed now". |
