Sr. CAD Librarian
Description

    Develop and maintain electrical CAD symbols and footprints using a variety of popular CAD tools.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • -Take ownership of the CAD Library Development Process
  • -Design land pattern geometries (footprints) per IPC-7351A (formerly IPC-SM-782), or specific customer standards
  • -Create / Maintain Logic and Footprint symbol libraries for both in-house and external customers
  • -Develop and maintain customer specific CAD symbol standards
  • -Maintain padstack libraries

    SKILLS

  • -Ability to read and understand component manufacturer’s data sheets
  • -Excellent internet research capabilities
  • -In-depth knowledge of IPC standards. (IPC-7351A, IPC-SM-782)
  • -Experience with one or more of the following software tools:
    • -Cadence: Allegro, ConceptHDL, OrCAD CIS
    • -Mentor Graphics: PADS Logic/Layout, DxDesigner & DxDatabook, Expedition, Design Architect & Boardstation

    • -PCBLibraries: LP Librarian, Calculator and Wizards

    DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS

  • -Good interpersonal skills with a track record of building strong and productive working relationships with technical and non-technical staff members
  • -Self motivated team player, who can also work alone when required and has the flexibility to adapt to varying workloads and task requirements
  • -Self-starter who needs minimal direction
  • -Ability to excel in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • -Good organizational skills
  • -Knowledge of MS-Office tools such as MS-Access, MS-Excel, Visio

    EDUCATION and/or RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • -5+ Years in PCB Industry
  • -IPC certification a plus
  • -Associates degree or technical schooling in electronics field and/or CAD a plus
